Equitable Brain Health in a Changing Climate.
Climate events such as wildfires, extreme heat, flooding and air pollution are driving a neurological health crisis in Canada. We are building the evidence, the awareness and the policy tools to respond equitably.
We’ve relaunched with focused project cycles.
Six projects, each with a lead, a director sponsor and a deliverable due December 11. Here is how to join.
Core Team
8 roles, 14 spots, from Funding and Partnerships to our new Emerging Voices podcast. 6-month volunteer terms.
ApplyFellowship
One project, 4-6 hours a week, 8 weeks, and your name on the finished work. 18 research roles open.
ApplyPartners & Advisors
Faculty, clinicians, organizations and sponsors: advise a project from about one hour a month.
ConnectUnaddressed
Crisis
Generate Evidence
This cycle: a scoping review on extreme temperatures and neurological health, an evidence synthesis on microplastics and the brain, and a perspective article on brain-healthy green spaces.
Raise Awareness
Youth Climate Mind resources, the Smoke, Heat and Your Brain campaign for Alberta, our new Emerging Voices podcast and the Schools and University Network.
Drive Systemic Change
From our federal FSDS submission to community voices from Calgary’s hailstorm alley and engagement with COP31, placing neurological health equity on the policy agenda.
Foster Innovation
Community-informed, prevention-focused solutions, from green schoolyards to the NeuroClimate Youth Internship, guided by Dr. Christine Gibson.
