Summary: We conduct and fund rigorous research to build the undeniable case for action, focusing on populations most at risk.
Key Initiatives:
- Systematic reviews on climate shocks and neurological outcomes.
- Epidemiological studies using health system data.
- Community-based participatory research to capture lived experience.
- Partnerships with leading Canadian and global research institutions.
Featured Projects
The Hamilton Risk-Mapping Project
In partnership with the City of Hamilton Public Health, we are co-developing a framework to map air pollution data against neurological health outcomes to visualize community-level risk.
Clinical Data Analysis
We are analyzing health system data to correlate climate events with rates of stroke, migraine, and other neurological emergencies.
Scoping Review
We are conducting a comprehensive review of the impacts of climate shocks (wildfires, heat, pollution) on neurological and mental health, with a specific focus on vulnerable populations. Currently underway with the University of Calgary.
Our Publication Pipeline
We believe research should be accessible. We use a knowledge translation pipeline that turns complex science into action.
Academic Publications → Policy Briefs → Public Awareness
The Conversation → CMAJ: Our public articles in The Conversation form the basis for deeper commentary in medical journals like the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
Get Involved in Research
We are building a consortium of researchers and clinicians across Canada. Join us to:
- Contribute to ongoing systematic reviews and studies.
- Co-author publications and policy briefs.
- Share data and collaborate on grant applications.
